Post appendectomy question?

I had my appendix out two n a half months ago and the scar has healed up nice. But at the very top there is still an internal stitch that keeps on protruding into my skin everytime i lay down causing a little bump. And when you push down on it, it almost feels like a little wire. Is this normal? I have a dr appointment tomorrow for him to check it out?
Answer:
If the suture is a dissolvable material, your body will eventually absorb it without a problem. If it is not absorbable, your doctor may cut it out tomorrow. It is a simple procedure, it shouldn't hurt, especially because scar tissue is not as sensitive as normal skin.
yes, let your Dr. know. He will probably pull the end of the stitch out with tweezers and cut it with tiny sharp scissors. That happened to me when I had my gallbladder removed. I had an interior stitch that was sticking out of the skin and the skin started to grow over it causing a little bump but when I touched it or anything near it, it felt like a wire sticking me in an area that was already tender.
