Please help,?

I have swimmers ear, and I have had a really bad earache since yesterday (Wednesday). Does anyone know and home remedies that will last for a while?
Answer:
I get swimmers ear a lot. My mom uses rubbing alcohol on me, she has me lean over so the the ear that needs treated is facing the ceiling. She then pours some of the rubbing alcohol in the cap and pours maybe 3/4 of it down my ear. Stay in the same position for a couple of seconds then stand up and lean your body the other direction so your affected ear is facing the floor. The rubbing alcohol should drip right out and so will the water. If it doesn't work the first time try leaving the alcohol in a few seconds longer because it may not have traveled far enough to the water in your ear. We use this method every time we get water in our ears and it works like a charm. If it doesn't work after about 4 tries take a break for about an hour and try again. Also there is a swimmers ear solution that is close to rubbing alcohol that can be found in target or walmart.
Ear candles
You can buy a product called swim-ear at target or wall-greens.
Using over-the-counter drops of a dilute solution of acetic acid or alcohol in the ears after getting them wet can help prevent it.
well, whichever ear its in, lay on tht ear. also, go to a doctor and get percribed an ear drop, and tak advils to relive pain. I had swimmers ear once, and if it gets really bad, youll get the flu and throw up and stuff=0 so see a doctor ASAP
Remedies
FolkAlcohol, rubbing Rubbing alcohol not only kills germs but causes water trapped in the ear to evaporate. See the remedies below under vinegar. Apple cider vinegar If you notice water stopping up your ears, put three or four drops, diluted in equal parts with water or alcohol, in your ear after showering or swimming. This is a good preventive measure against future infection.Hair dryer Use the warm (never hot!) setting of your hair dryer and place it about an arm's length from the ear and slowly move it back and forth. Test it on your wrist after it has been running a while before using it on the ear. The warm air will evaporate any trapped water.Vinegar (distilled white) Put 2-3 drops of full strength white vinegar into the ear every two hours. This will be effective against any bacterial or fungal infection.锟?Another similar remedy is to make a 50/50 mixture of vinegar and warm water and apply four drops in the ear three times a day for three days. However, the water can harbor bacteria and fungus. One of the other two vinegar remedies is preferred. Pull on the earlobe to straighten out the ear canal. This will get the drops to their destination. The alcohol may sting, but this needs to be done.锟?A third vinegar remedy is to make a 50/50 mixture using equal parts of rubbing alcohol and distilled white vinegar. Put the mixture in a clean eyedropper bottle. The alcohol will kill germs and evaporate any water that's trapped in the ear. Use several drops after swimming. Tilt your head and pull your earlobe to get the mixture into the ear canal. This will help cure swimmer's ear or prevent it from happening in the first place. See the caution warning below. These remedies can be mixed up in a clean eye dropper bottle.CAUTION: Consult with your doctor before using these remedies if you have ever punctured your eardrum or had ear surgery (including having tubes inserted).
i don't know home remedies for this. In my experince it hurts till the doctor gives you the right eardrops.
i had swimmers ear a lot. i learend to BLOW DRY MY EARS ( the inside of my ears) even after showering.you don't hold the blow dryer so close to your ear that it can burn, and you move it around a lot.
you can buy the over the counter stuff for that, and if the problem keeps up go to the dr. he will give u some meds. try and keep water out of the ear till it clears up tho. dont let it go on too long. it can damage your ear.
definatly get ear plugs i have it to. it totally works
I had swimmers ear once when i was about 13 and my family and I were up and the cabin so there was no hospital to go to...my oma put hydrogen proxide in my ear and it actually helped with the pain and the constant wierd noises i would hear everytime I opened my mouth...if you have swimmers ear you know what I am talking about...it didn't cure it and I did have to get medicine which you can get now over the counter but it helped for the while when we were at the cabin...hope you get better and try to lay on your side...
