OMG OMG can someone help?

How to tell if a hospital is private
Answer:
what do you mean by private? all hospitals have private rooms available, even semi private rooms you can get privacy

Hospitals aren't private in America. They are funded in part by tax payer money and are therefore available to all taxpayers.
Check their website ;)
I am not sure what you mean. All visits are confidential though or you have a good lawsuit to bring about. If you mean business wise just ask them if it is privately owned.
All hospitals are required by law to protect a patients privacy. You can tell the receptionist when you check in that you don't want any information released, and they can't tell anyone that you are there, even if someone calls and asks for you by name. Medical professionals are not allowed to discuss your diagnosis with anyone that is not directly involved in your care. If you find that your privacy has been breached you have grounds for a lawsuit.
Private, do you mean will they respect your privacy? If so, all hospitals and doctors in the USA are required to abide by the HIPPA Privacy laws. They are not allowed to release information about you unless you give direct consent to do so. If you do not wish for anyone to know you are a patient, then tell the staff that this is you wish, they will protect your privacy or risk having major legal issues. If you are talking about a hospital having private rooms, most do, but you may have to pay more, and your insurance policy may not cover the extra expenses. If you are talking about a hospital being privately owned...that would be highly unlikely. Some re-hab facilities are privately owned. If you have questions about a particular facility, call and ask questions.
HMO=Private
PPO=Non PrivateIn regards to the insurance company stand point.
