Answer:
Sounds more like acid reflux if your esophagus is hurting. Last year that happened to me, I had it all day and night for 4 days, then it went away and never came back. It was so painful sometimes that I would actually get tears in my eyes and I couldn't sleep. I tried taking otc prilosec starting the first day I had it. I'm not sure if that's what made it go away but I only took it for a few days and stopped when the reflux stopped. It didn't come back for me. you could try that. DON'T LET THEM SCARE YOU, YOU'RE NOT HAVING A HEART ATTACK.
you have heartburn from to much spicy foods
it means you've been having heartburn for 2 days straight. go to an urgent care or ER.
go to a doctor. it may be an illness, and medicine will help
hope it feels better
GO TO THE ER RIGHT AWAY. You should never leave something like this go for 2 days. It could be a heart attack. Have someone drive you or call 911 right now.
You could have a mild case of Acid Indigestion. Try some over the counter Rolaids pills for another day. If nothing improves go to a Doctor and get it checked out. If you have any other symptoms (headache , nausea , etc go to an ER. If you have a primary care Doctor call the office by tomorrow if you are still hurting
Persistent pain that may be heartburn needs to be properly diagnosed by a physician. There are many treatments available. Heartburn is a burning sensation in the upper abdomen or chest area that is caused by acid reflux of the stomach contents. Contrary to its name, it is a disorder associated with digestion, not the heart.Heartburn is not usually a serious condition. However, severe and chronic (long-term) heartburn may lead to a more serious condition called gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), in which the esophagus can become damaged due to the reflux. For more information on this topic, please see the link below - it's easy to understand and even has some pictures and diagrams!

It could be your gall bladder. go to a doctor yahoo can't fix your owie.
IF you have only tried taking a 1-tums, than you should try to take another type of antacid.try pepcid (the kind that melt in your mouth) are better than tums. Tums and Rolaids are not for serious "heart-burn".If the Pepcid does not work, than make an appointment to see the doctor...
lay off the milk, and don't drink or eat anything for a few hours before and after you take the pepcid.don't eat spicy or gas producing, or carbonated food or liquid for a week!
If it is so unbearable, than you should go to the hospital...
I would not hesitate to go if you are in serious condition..just remember that emergency room visits can cost up to 1000 dollars...too much for an antacid you can buy over the counter!
You have very upset stomach now. Did you have lots of stress or ate irregularly? Did you eat spicy food on the empty stomach? One of these could be the reason.
Now, Tums are not strong enough. Go to the pharmacy and get Prilosec. It works differently than any of the over-the -counter acid relievers. It works by inhibiting your acid production, rather than neutralizing existing acidity. Take this for a week. If it doesn't get better, go to a doctor and ask for gastroenterologist's appointment. But I hope it will help. Also, don't drink milk. Eat oatmeal (not cereal) boiled in water with little butter for breakfast. Many people cured ulcers and related problems this way. In health foods store get Licorice extract - it helps with high acidity and also treats ulcers. Avoid spicy foods for now.
If you have it just for a couple days and for the first time, it is not likely you have an ulcer. However, if Prilosec doesn't help, you might have some more serious problem than just heartburn, that requires medical attention.
if its has lasted 2 days i would go to the doctor. but if its just heartburn, maybe try an apple. to be honest i actually had heartburn just 5 mins ago, and i looked up home remedies on the internet and on one site it said try eating apple slices. so i did,(because baking soda and water didnt sound to appetizing).
and to my surprise it worked, (although i also took some pepto bismal prior but i dont think that that works that fast).
hope you feel better, if it continues go to the doctor!!
