On day鈥檚 you don鈥檛 work or do nothing but relaxes why would you still need to eat three times a day why not on
Answer:
You still need your vitamins, minerals, protein, and calories regardless. Your body doesn't stop repairing itself, just because you're not working. However, if you are only hungry once a day on your days off, then just eat once. I'm hungry more than once a day on my days off.
2 reasons I can think of... one reason is our stomach's growl and sends a signal to our brain that it's feeding time and so we do it. Second is due to habit.
The body maintains a steady metabolism even when you're resting. your muscles burn calories just to maintain vegetative body functions such as breathing, brain function, digestion, circulation and kidney function. Even when resting, your body burns around 1,500-2,000 calories just for the upkeep of those things. Besides, hunger doesn't necessarily correlate with activity levels. The body follows a circadian rhythm, and if you tend to eat at specific times every day, your body starts adapting and you feel hungry when that time comes round.
