OKay i think I may have oral herpes. I have likie cole sores things at the ends of my mouth (on both sides) I have had this since 7th grade and now I am a sophomore in highschool. I always have to wear chapstick 24/7. And I am really nervous about having it. I have been to the doctor and dermotologist and they didint mention herpes to me at all, they just didnt know what it was. And I am terrified that I might have it. I have to constantley have to put chapstick on and If I dont have any on then my lips get inflamed. Does it sound Like I have herpes? If not what do u think it is? PLease help

No honey. Cold sores don't stay there, they go away. They are very sporadic. They only come once in a while. You just have dryness that's all.
Your doctor would have told you if you had oral herpes (cold sores). So, it's highly unlikely that you have it.Sounds to me like the skin is just very dry and cracked. Just use a really good lip balm to moisturize the skin in that area and help prevent it from cracking. Try vaseline. You can buy it in small lip balm sized tins so you can carry it around with you easily. I love the stuff, it's great for your lips.
