Permanent bruise? Should I be worried?

Last October my husband and I were wrestling...he stomped on the top of my right foot and of course it bruised. However, the bruise is still there and it's been 9 months, sometimes it's really dark and sometimes its barely visable. It doesn't hurt and its not tender or anything. Should I be concerned or do foot 'injuries' take a long time to heal?
Answer:
I actually have what appears to be a hickey several inches above one of my breasts. I paid it no attention because it started fading, but then it got darker again like yours. It's been there at least since January. Somtimes it looks purple or reddish brown, other times it's almost completely faded and I can barely see it. I went to the gynocologist to tell her about it and she said it wasn't a big deal since it didn't hurt or swell. She said that just like a cut leaves a scar, sometimes bruises can leave a mark. I was still bothered about it, so she told me if I wanted, I could go to a demertologist who would give me a cream to make it fade for good. So that's to say it's probably nothing, but go to the doctor anyway to put your mind at ease.
you certainly should see your doctor about this . a bruise that does not go away can be a symptom of some serious problems .
It's probably nothing, but it would not hurt to pop in and see the doctor and get it checked out, would it? Have a good day.
Are you sure you were "wrestling"?Anyway, 9 months is pretty long for a bruise. Considering how much people use their feet, I'd say go to the doctor. It may be perfectly fine, but you don't want to risk the chance. At least you can find out what to do to make sure the healing process happens as smoothly as possible.
