I have these percocet or oxycodone whatever. But I have had them before and they always had the number 512 on the back of them. But these new ones I have on the front there is the number 12 and on the back it looks like the letter A. has anybody seen a percocet like that?
Answer:
I agree that odds are it is a different brand BUT anytime any medication looks different than you've had in the past, you should check it out. Simply call the pharmacy where you had it filled, or any local one, ask to talk to the pharmacist and have them look it up. They will be able to tell you exactly what it is and then you will know for certain. I would definately confirm what it is, and the strength before you take it.And to the person who said you were lucky, trust me it depends on your pain. I have severe nerve damage. I took Oxycodone and M %26 M's would have been better since I could have enjoyed the chocolate. They did nothing for the pain. Those in pain are lucky when we find a medication that provides some relief. Of course when taken properly for real pain, there is none of that euphoria some get with this drug. Then again, if they took it w/out pain, sure they did go through hell stopping. Sorry, just had to mention that.
put them back into the prescription bottle and take it to the pharmacy.
It is just a different brand. Each company that makes oxycodone puts there own stuff on the tablets. Just like each company that makes tylenol aka acetominophen puts their own stuff on their tablets.
you are so lucky to have oxycoden in your home. not lucky that you are in all that pain...but oxycoden is the best...life was so good when I was on oxycoden.. then life was not good when I could get no more and had withdrawels.
ummmm.there is no whatever when it comes to percocet or oxycodone. If you have been prescribed this medication you should have no worries. If you have obtained this illegally have fun figuring it out.silly goose.
Go to Drugs.com and you will find a full description of all of the percocets and forms of oxycodone that is made. Enter the info. on bottle (EXACT NAME OF MED. as written on your bottle) and the shape, color, and all numbers and letters that are on the pills and it will tell you exactly what it is
You need to immediately send them to me so that I may evaluate them in detail. Just kidding, yes it's oxycodone.

Percocet addiction?
I have been taking about 7 percocet every night for about 2 weeks and I stopped cold turkey today. I don't feel like I'm addicted, but since I have not been taking it that long will I have a really hard time stopping?...any help would be great.
Answer:
that is a pretty heavy dose you've been giving yourself... Were you prescibed those for an injury or somehting? I would say that it is mind over matter and you sould be fine as long as you dont' abuse them anymore.
IT should not be that hard getting off of them if you haven't been taking them for a long period of time. Its the way drugs and anything addicting works.
take only as prescribed, and only as needed and there won't be NO problems
i hope you don't.i hope you do.i hope you don't because no one should have to go through a tough withdrawal. i hope you do because otherwise you might be this foolish again.
You need to go see your doctor to get your some labs done to be sure you didn't damage your liver doing this. Percocet contains acetominophen which can be toxic to your liver when taken in high doses. See your doc and ask them to run some blood tests to check your liver function.
i did roxicet and percs too after gastric bypass. for 2 months...taper off by taking hardcore 300- 500 millagrams of acetominophen and then cut down. you will feel edgy, tired and shaky and crave sweets but you will be fine in a week or so. drink juices and lots of water and stay off caffeine! listen to some loud music and dance, before bed. you'll be ok.
You need to stop now. Once you get addicted to it and take it all the time, if you can't get them sometimes you'll get withdrawals and feel sick. You can have one every once in a while if you have pain, but don't use them just to feel high.
i won't call you addicted but i know no sane doctor prescribed you 7 percs a night
ex medical proffessional and ex addict
but that was alot to be taking and the inertia that drove you to taking may be hard to kick
but hopefully two weeks will not have been too hard on your body and i am different from you but i hope it is easy and you have the willpower to not use again
going down this road will hurt you and everyone around you
god bless you
you usually dont get addicted from a 30 day supply generally given by a doc. taking 7 at one time...yeiks, that's allot. But...if you have stopped, your body could go through with-drawls...which include, irritably, excessive sweating, acheyness, insomnia, head aches. its generally a good idea to wean yourself off them by tapering off daily, (one less each day) that way your body wont go into shock from not having them. drink lots of water...workout-sweat. That will help get them out of your system.
With any med you abuse can be addicted.
Pain meds when used for correct reason you should be get addicted.
I take Oxy for headaches. I can put meds down anytime.

People say that?
you can drown in any ammoun tof water
well what is the smallest ammount of water you can drown in?
And is it really drowning or is it just like chocking on water?
Answer:
I think to reliably drown, one must be submerged such that any attempt to breathe or cough the water out of one's lungs will be ineffective because of the unavailability of air. Therefore, a cup of water in the bronchial tree might be fatal for a very weak or ill person, but in general, I think if a person can bend over, or otherwise be inverted and overcome the spasms enough to inhale air and be able to cough out the water, it's possible they would survive.
I'v alway's heard a cup of water. If you or someone holds your nose in it and your mouth is shut.
Very little. We have an opening with two passages in the back of our throats. One passage goes to the lungs, the other to the stomach. There is a tiny flap covering that opening that opens for food and closes for breathing. This is how we do either one or the other. If something other than air enters the passage leading to the lungs, we choke. Even the tiniest morsel of food or tiniest amt of fluid can cause us to actually drown when this foreign object enters the lungs.
Babies and small children can drown in a small puddle of water. If you were unconscious in a puddle of water an adult would also drown.
In order to drown, your face has to be submerged in water. So I guess you could drown in a few inches, as long as your mouth and nose were submerged. Basically, you just can't be able to breathe.
Choking on water would be if you were drinking water and it went down the wrong tube or something. Drowning is suffocation.

People have told me that when you get your belly button pierced you can be paralysed if they hit a wrong nerve
is that true? can you like die from it or anything? im only 14... i was jw. can you get any other problems?
Answer:
people my not thin of this, but in reality this is a minor sygicial procedure, i wouldn't think that it's possible to be paralysed as most of the nerves that affect this are found at the back of the body along the spine.however the area could become infected, and sevear infections over time could cause death, however this will never never happen in this case
*shocked face* then I guess I won't be doing that. LOL
thats the least of your worries
Well, those people are wrong. Not possible.
I don't think you would as they pierce the loose skin above or below the hole =which ever you prefer
No, that's not true. The only way you could die from it is if it became infected and you became septic.
i never heard of anyone to die from this, if that was the case nobody would be getting it done . make sure you go to a professional
False.
Your spinal cord is nowhere near your belly-button.
There are some risks like infection, or minor nerve damage.
But, no, paralyisis is not one of them.
I've never heard of someone getting paralyzed because of getting their belly button pierced...but if it isn't done by a professional that uses sterile needles, there is a much greater risk of infection. A few of my friends have had their belly button pierced and they didn't have any problems with it. If it's done by a professional there should be minimal problems with the piercing.
Oh is that why i cant feel my legs!
Erm never heard of that one. Get all my piercing done by a professional, they did tell me you have to get the needle positioned correctly when doing tongue piercing as its poss to hit the main vein thingy which can lead to you bleeding ALOT and worse. Just don't be stupid and get ya mates to do ya belly button, get it done properly!
absolutey not. your nerve stem runs down your spine so unless you pinch/cut/whatever your nerve stem you wont be paralyzed. yea they can hit nerves but thats what makes it hurt. your biggest concern is infection which is painful nasty
That it nearly as absurd as the whole 'if you pick your nose your brain will fall out comment'. People often make things up to try and stop you from doing things. This is one of those times.
NO. They lie. Keep it clean by salt-water bathing it twice daily. it will swell %26 be very uncomfortable for a few days, but not REALLY painful. Make sure that the people doing it know what they're about. If it does hurt %26 weep, go to Doctors for infection, then back to shop for advice/moan.
Some things for a quality check;
Is someone you know happy with the work done by them?
Are they members of a trade association?
Is the shop clean?
Do they use fresh, sterile kit?
The best thing to do is;
Go into the shop %26 talk to the staff about why you want the piercing, the procedure, %26 your fears.
No you can't unless you get an infection which gets septic.
Only if you have your belly button pierced by a large object (such as a lamp-post) would it end up hitting a nerve!!
no its not true only the genitals can cause paralysation /stroke because your gentiles are the only mucus producing and that goes for your face as well
I have heard of there being a nerve near that area but never of anyone being paralysed. If still considering getting it done please go to a professional!
Firstly, you will need parental consent to get it pierced, even then many reputable piercers wont do it until you are older. No, you cannot be paralysed through such a procedure, but as others have said, it is possible to die from an infection.
The reason being, that your umbilicus (belly button) carries unused wbut still active veins/arteries that were used while in your mothers womb.Should you get an infection, it can spread very quickly around the body and to all the the major organs. The other problems: it can hurt alot, and can also migrate (move from where it was inserted)

Pencil point puncture?
I accidentally stepped on a pencil and the point went into the side of my foot. I was able to remove the point with tweezers and I'm about to wash, disinfect, and bandage the area, but is there anything else I need to do? There's still a lot of pencil in the wound because the cut is black. Do i have to go to the doctor?
Answer:
As 'lead' pencils, sold in the U.S., don't contain actual lead, you want to worry about infection. Make sure the area is very well cleansed, apply a first-aid disinfectant cream and stick a bandage on it. The discoloration that you are noticing is residue from the pencil's graphite and bruising from the initial puncture. If you notice a redness developing around the puncture, pronounced swelling or have not had a tetanus shot in the past 7-10 years, go ahead and visit your doctor or local clinic.
how deep was it? Well you probably shouldn't worry too much since the component of pencils nowadays are much safer, and they don't use pure lead.plus, you treated your wound quite well, so the black stuff should push out soon.
I had a pencil accident when I was younger. It went into my cheek and I went to the doctor but as far as I can remember he didn't really do anything more than what you are doing. Plus the skin on your feet are much tougher and more calloused than a cheek. But you may want to call just in case. I still have a dark mark on my cheek but luckily it just looks like a beauty mark. Good luck with it though, hope you feel better.
No. Graphite (the black stuff in pencils) by itself is non toxic and harmless to your body in this instance.
I accidentally stabbed one in my hand before and I did the same as you. All it did was leave a dot like a tattoo where it was stabbed. Never got infected or anything. I would just watch it for infection.
Yes. My son punctured himself in the palm of his hand and though we got the lead out, I still took him to the doctor. I took him to the emergency room. The ER doctor said that although cleansing the wound with hydrogen peroxide and antibiotic ointment were good, they may not have been adequate to ward off infection. He retreated the puncture wound and gave him a tetanus shot.

Pelvic Pain when not pregant!?
I've fractured my pelvis twice, the last time was about 2 years ago. At the moment it feels fractured again, all the same pains in the same places etc. Only difference between this time and the last ones is nothing has happened that would cause the injury.
The last time i did it, the doc was a twat who couldn't wait to get me out of her face, didn't examine me properly and i'm think she may have missed something.
I asked my own doc could something have not set properly last time and she reckons its just the area acting up. its too sore to be just 'acting up', i know there's more to it.
Really sick of handing over money and being fobbed off with pain killers.
Anyone else had a similar problem?
Answer:
Demand an X ray of the area, you know your body and quite often gut feelings that theres a problem are right!
get to the hospital - theres no reason for them to turn you away, they should xray and rmi you to make sure everything is a-ok and to rule out certain factors...
you could have an infection in your pelvic go to the hospital come Monday morning when it is not busy tell them you are not happy with your doctors reasoning and want it to be investigated further by the way a pelvic infection IS very pain full good luck
I agree with the others get this checked out!! I too had pain around the hip area and it turned out that i had displasia and eventually had both hips replaced. Get it checked out and if there is something wrong then something can be done about it if theres not then you can look at other methods of pain releive either way it tis better to know

Peeled Knuckle skin wont completely heal?
I've been practicing on the makiwara (wooden board for conditioning the bones, particularly the fists) since a long time.
When my knuckle skin peels off I stop hitting until it's healed, but it never gets back to normal. My skin only healed to a certain point and is sort of dead as i can't feel anything when touching it.But the final layer just will NOT heal, it's been a long time. It looks red and still wont heal.
Answer:
the parts that "feel dead" are probably calluses, which are a good thing to have. As for the red part, is it painful? If it's just red, no pain, it's probably scar tissue. If it is painful, try using neosporine and a bandage and if it still won't heal, go to a doctor.
