Nursing shoes?

what are the best shoes out there...shoes marketed for nursing? regular sneakers?
Answer:
I currently work in the ER and the majority of us wear sneakers, mainly Nike Shox and New Balance. I've tried the nursing shoes and for me they were the most uncomfortable things and required a break in period. I'm on my feet for 12 hours very often without a break and the last thing I need is uncomfortable shoes. Stay away from shoes with platform soles, they look nice, but aren't very practical. Clogs in general are a problem if you need to get somewhere in a hurry like a code. Check out what other nurses are wearing, ask about their preferences and go from there.
go to allheart.com they have great deals for the lowest prices you'll find. I order from there all the time, there are a variety of brands you can choose from.
No sneakers!...LUV A NURSE...(it's a brand) used to be THE BEST...they have a little "heart" on the shoe (usually on the sole)...
Go to a uniform supply store (most cities have a medical uniform supplier)...they can steer you (and most often have) the better brands of nursing shoes...
Nurses are on their feet A LOT.paying more for better shoes just makes good sense...
I am a nurse and wear Crocs. They are awesome. 12 hour days, no problem with Crocs. Do not buy the generic ones though, they aren't as comfy. good luck!
