Try abreva or go see your doctor for prescription anti-viral meds. Just remember that herpes is contagious.

yes they do suck, i got 2 during my pregnancy, hormones are the culprits. Anyway, try Abreva its a little pricey but if you want it gone quickly use it. I use campho-phenique, takes a couple of days with it. Mine weren't real bad. Like I said it was because of my pregnancy. Hope this helps. Tina
Herpies is contagious, but this brand of Herpies(Herpes Simplex I) is not the STD kind. Use Abreva
No extremely fast way. An aspirin taken (every four hours) at the first icky twinge can stop them before they form. Maybe a damp aspirin applied directly to the cold sore might help, but aside from the usual over the counter methods, that's about it.
Lysine + from drug stores is what my boss (the pharmacist) recommends to everyone when they come in with a cold sore.
